Fathers Day Camping Trip 2013
What better way to spend your long weekend, but with your family? "Camping, let's go camping!" and that's all it took for us to gather the family to a nice scouted spot (Thanks Sony!) The weather was cool as well as the company. Sitting around, snacking, playing cards and watching the kids as they laugh and play in a hammock, all day. We took a trip down the road to Willow Springs Lake where we were able to enjoy the kayaks that Lisa and Roy brought, the water was cold but it was nice to take a swim in deep fresh water, I can't remember the last time I was able to do that. One of my favorite moments with camping is the campfire, so not having one was kind of a bummer, we made the most of it though. We were able to still have hot delicious shmoes (smores), but it's not the same as sitting around the campfire. We left rather early on Sunday, we later wished we would have stayed a little bit longer to enjoy the lake one last time. Over all, the trip was a success and having Noah here to spend Fathers Day with Gabe, really made our weekend complete.
